Scholarships
There are 4 opportunities for scholarships for ALC graduates.
For criteria for all awards please see Fran or any of our teachers.
- $500 Pow Wow Scholarship - write a paper on what "We are all treaty people" means to you. This scholarship is awarded to a person based on community involvement, volunteering and or cultural awareness/studies. Due early May.
- $500 Seven Oaks Educational Foundation Scholarship - write a 500—1000 word essay regarding your post secondary plans & hopes for future careers. Due May 31st.
- $1000 SOTA scholarship to anyone planning to be a teacher - write a 500 word essay detailing your future goals and desires to pursue a career in Education. This written piece should answer the following question: Why are you passionate about pursuing a career in Education, such as teaching, speech and language pathology, school psychology or school social work? Due May 17th.
- $1000 David Smeltzer Memorial Scholarship - write a 500—1000 word essay on how getting your diploma will change your life. Student applying must be a parent of children 18 years and younger and attending school to complete their high school or mature student diploma. Due May 31st.
