Items Allowed on the Bus
Please consult this list regularly as items will be added/removed as required.
In addition, as per The Public Schools Act no school bus, while transporting pupils, shall be used to carry any animal, firearm, explosive, flammable liquid, or anything of a dangerous or objectionable nature, or any article likely to endanger the safety of the passengers.
Items Allowed on the Bus
- Flute (in the case)
- Clarinet (in the case)
- Alto Clarinet (in the case)
- Bass Clarinet (in the case)
- Alto Sax (in the case)
- Tenor Sax (in the case)
- Trumpet (in the case)
- Trombone (in the case)
- Violin (in the case)
- Skates (must have blade protectors and be in a protective skate case/bag)
- Roller Blades (in a protective bag)
- Items that can be completely enclosed in their schoolbag/back pack
- Crutches (to be secured behind the driver's seat)
- Medical Strollers (if they are collapsible)
Items Not Allowed on the Bus
- Baritone Sax
- French Horn
- Drums
- Tuba
- Guitars (large)
- Music Stands
- Microphone Stands
- Keyboards
- Lawn Chairs
- Fishing Rods
- Skis and Poles
- Skateboards or Skooters
- Hockey Sticks
- Curling Brooms
- Toboggans
- Snow Boards
- Large Bags (that are oversize and cannot be on their lap or under the seat)
- School Projects (that pose a danger to other students by being large with sharp points)
- Sleeping Bags
- Luggage
- Empty Wheelchairs
